1. 24-Second Rule
After the ball has touched the ring of the opponents’ basket(Offensive Rebounds), the shot clock shall be reset to 14 seconds. If it’s a defensive rebound, the shot clock shall be reset back to 24 seconds as usual.
2. Penalty points for late coming teams
If a team has 3 or less uniformed players even 5 minutes after the scheduled game time, that team will be penalised by 4 points per minute. If the team still has 3 or less uniformed players even 15 minutes after the scheduled game time, the Referee may declare a forfeit and award the victory to the opposing team.
FORFEIT FINE: A fine of $100.00 per game forfeited may be imposed if a team has 3 or less players to play games.
3. SAFETY EQUIPMENT
Players who normally wear glasses have three options a) not wear glasses while playing b) wear contact lenses while playing c) must use safety (sport) goggles while playing.
Players may not wear hats, earrings, necklaces, other jewellery or anything that may injure any player. Long hair should be either tied back or a headband should be used.
4. Late Players
Players who come late on game time must pay game fee first to the help desk and then wait on the bench until breaks between quarters. Due to Glory League scoring system we cannot change players’ playable status during game time. So if a player arrived after game time that player may play from the second quarter.
Three 30-second time outs will be given to each team.
1 time-out during the first half
2 time-out during the second half
For the first 3 quarters when the game clock shows 2 minutes or less a time-out cannot be called by both teams. Because we have seen that several teams used a time-out to waste more time before breaks especially when winning. That’s an abuse of rule shouldn’t be seen in our league.
