NZ Breakers down Melbourne United to draw first blood in ANBL semifinal

The playoff kings have struck again, the NZ Breakers demonstrating, once again, that for them there really is no time like finals time in the Australian NBL (ANBL).

The Breakers produced a brilliant rebounding and defensive performance to squeeze the life out of Melbourne United and take home advantage away from the regular season champions with a 91-82 victory in their semifinal series opener at a packed Hisense Arena.

The massive road victorygave the Breakers a record 10th straight playoff win and also puts them one success away from a record ninth consecutive post-season series success that stretches back to their first title in the 2010-11 season.
